Summer's Beauty Haul

Sunday, July 27, 2014 Sara Wallflower 64 Comments

Hello everybody!

In July I decided to do some beauty purchases, because I realised that I don’t have some of the basic products. I’m going to show you some of the products I bought (I should say my mum bought me) in July.

Lips
I haven’t even realised that almost all of my lip glosses expired. I read a lot of reviews of Maybelline New York’s Baby Lips. I decided to try them, so I got Baby Lips in Cherry Me and Baby Lips Intense Care. They make my lips super soft and they smell really good.
I was the most excited about Max Factor’s lip gloss, Enchanting Coral. I was looking for so long to find a perfect shade of lip gloss and that one is my favourite for sure.
I also bought Essence’s lip gloss, Baby Doll’s Favourite. It’s almost similar to Max Factor’s one, it's just more suitable for summer.

Eyes
I hardly ever wear make-up and for some reason I’m scared to use eyeliner. I think that’s a really stupid fear, so I bought Essence’s Waterproof Eyeliner Pen. I really like Essence’s products, because they’re cheap and their quality is good. When I’ll start to wear make-up more often, I’ll pay more money for it, but until then I’m happy with Essence.
I want to progress from applying eye shadow with my fingers and that’s why I bought Essence’s Eyeshadow Applicators by Zeena and Essence’s Eyeshadow Brush. They seem good enough for the beginners like me.

Face
I don’t even remember when the last time I used a face masque was. So my mother got us Face Food’s Cucumber & Apple Reviving Masque. Now I just have to find some time to relax, which will be quite difficult for me.

Hair
Since I’ve almost ran out of Avon’s Conditioner for Fine Hair, I decided that it was time for a new conditioner. I found Garnier’s Ultra Doux Protective Conditioner for coloured hair. It’s with argan oil and cranberry and it makes my hair so soft.
I don’t straighten or curl my hair so I actually didn’t have any hair sprays or something, but I bought Nivea’s Styling Mousse Diamond Gloss. Maybe I'll become less lazy and I’ll start to make different hairstyles.
For that reason I also got Nivea’s Styling Cream Creme Gel. Now I no longer have the excuse that my hair looks like a mess.
I also got some bobby pins, as I always lose them or somehow make them useless.

Body
I’m still a bit lazy about using body lotion, but I bought one anyway. I haven’t used Nivea’s Nourishing Body Milk yet, but since I love all Nivea products, I’m sure I’ll love this one too.
I was looking for a new hand soap and I found CD’s Milde Seife Avocado, which smells divine. I haven’t used it yet, but I can’t wait to.

What do you think of my purchases? I’ll also write reviews of some products, so from which ones would you like to read it?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

Healthy Breakfast Ideas with Banana

Friday, July 25, 2014 Sara Wallflower 53 Comments

Hello everybody!

In the mornings I can’t normally function, until I eat my breakfast. And since I try to eat at least a bit healthy, I’m going to share with you my two favourite healthy breakfast ideas with bananas. I can’t afford to buy organic food or something, so I try to keep my meals as simple and healthy as they can be with eating home grown vegetables (it’s even healthier than organic vegetables from shops) and food that isn’t too expensive.

Oatmeal Cereals with Banana

Ingredients:
~oatmeal cereals
~banana
~plain low fat yogurt
~hazelnuts or any other nuts

First, put a plain low fat yogurt in a bowl. Then put in some oatmeal cereals and one banana cut into small pieces. If I eat oatmeal cereals with banana for breakfast, I also add some hazelnuts or walnuts cut into small pieces. But if I eat this for dinner, I don’t add any nuts, because they are to filling for me.

Banana Smoothie

Ingredients (for two people):
~two glasses of low fat milk
~two bananas
~cinnamon

In blender put banana cut into small pieces. Then add two glasses of low fat milk and wait until banana and milk are well mixed. Pour smoothie in the glasses and add cinnamon if desired.

Five Minutes Of My Life That I Won't Get Back (YouTubers #1)

Saturday, July 19, 2014 Sara Wallflower 80 Comments

Hello everybody!

Youtube
Made on Polyvore by me
In my first post I wrote that I’m interested in many different things. It’s true- I can’t even remember of all things I like to do. One of these interests is YouTube. I can’t even tell how much time I spend on YouTube watching all of my favourite YouTubers. Many times they made me laugh or cry, they gave me some great advices and they made my life a bit more interesting. Because of everything they did for me, I wanted to share my favourite YouTubers with you and tell you why I love them so much.

Zoella

Zoe Sugg is an English fashion and beauty blogger and internet personality. Her main channel is called Zoella and it’s mostly about fashion, beauty hauls, hair, make-up and collaborations. She also has a second channel called MoreZoella. Zoella is one of the first YouTubers I’ve ever watched. I enjoy watching her videos, because she’s such an amazing and cheerful person. In the June, she made vlogs everyday and that way I really get to know her better. Her blog Zoella is the first blog I've ever read.

ConnorFranta

Connor Franta is an American YouTube blogger and internet personality. He has two channels: a main channel ConnorFranta and a second channel More Connor. Until this July he was also a member of a collaboration channel named Our2ndLife, along with JC Caylen, Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran, Sam Pottorff and Kian Lawley. I find his chatty videos really interesting and with a bit of his humour, I can’t stop watching him. Because of his frantastic Mondays, I can even survive Mondays.

NikasInnerBeauty

Nika is a Slovenian blogger who has two channels: NikasInnerBeauty is her main channel and NikasInnerSide is her vlog channel. She mostly makes videos about hair, makeup, fashion and beauty hauls. I absolutely love watching her videos because even though she’s from such as small country as Slovenia, her videos can compare to videos from YouTubers with millions of subscribers. She also makes her videos interesting as she’s often joking around.

Caspar Lee

Caspar Lee is a British-born South African YouTuber. His main channel is Caspar and his second channel is morecaspar. His videos often contain ridiculous advices, collaborations and pranks. When I feel sad, his videos will be the first to watch. I can’t stay serious when I’m watching him, especially his prank calls and his bloopers. I just love the fact, that he’s not just funny or something, but he tries to make everybody, especially his friends, laugh.

StilaBabe09

Meredith Foster is an American beauty and lifestyle blogger. She has a main channel called StilaBabe09 and a second channel called VlogsbyMeredith. She makes videos about fashion and beauty and she tries to prove that beauty come from within. I really like the fact that she always looks happy and smiles, because that makes her videos so interesting and unique. I enjoy watching her videos where she cooks/ bakes, as she mostly makes quite simple and healthy food.

JacksGap

Jack and Finn Harries are British twins, who run a channel JacksGap. After a short break, they started to make videos again regularly two months ago. The quality of their videos is amazing and I don’t mind waiting longer for one video, because I know that this one video will be perfect. I also like the fact that they’re travelling a lot and that they’re documenting their interesting story and sharing it with us. Jacksgap was my first YouTube channel that I’ve ever watched and I remember that when I found it, I watched all their videos in one afternoon. Jack and Finn are still one of my favourite Youtubers.

Well, this was only a small part of all YouTubers that I love. Leave a comment telling me if I should do more posts about my favourite YouTubers. Which YouTuber is your favourite and why?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

Rainbow of Nail Polishes- Summer Nail Polish Favourites

Tuesday, July 15, 2014 Sara Wallflower 109 Comments

Hello, everybody!

I have to admit, that I'm a bit obsessed with nail polishes. I have way too many of them, as I’m no good at applying nail polish. Probably more of a nail polish ends on my skin than on my nails. I also have really short nails, because of the climbing. If I had longer nails, my fingers would hurt and my nails would broke, so having long nails would be pointless. In the summer I try to keep them longer, but I’m not really used to have them like that.

But I still collect nail polishes of all shades as I absolutely love colours. My room contains many different colours, I always wear colourful clothes; so it’s kind of obvious that I like colourful nail polishes too. I mostly have bright colours and I prefer nail polishes with special effects. In the summer I also use a lot of nail stickers- mostly flowers and butterflies. Well what can I do- I’m still a little girl in my heart!

Here are some of my favourite nail polishes in summer.

1. Max Factor: Dazzling Blue

To me, blue seems like a perfect colour for summer. It reminds me of sea, infinity. This Max Factor’s nail polish looks really amazing! Blue colour is intense and it kind of reflects shiny effect. It’s one of my favourite nail polishes in general.

2. Essence Colour& Go: Off to Miami!

I think that when I’m buying nail polishes, the name of it attracts me too. Essence’s nail polishes are my all time favourites, because I adore their colours! Bright and popping colours remind me of summer and they make me feel like summer will last forever.

3. Essence Colour& Go: That’s What I Mint!

I bought this nail polish the same time as the Off to Miami! one. They both look so great together. I don’t really like all shades of blue, but I absolutely love this one. It’s cute and just appropriate for the summer!

4. Essence Nude Glam: Ice, Ice Baby!

I actually got this one in a magazine and I’ve never thought of buying this colour. I prefer bright colours so I didn’t actually know if I’m going to even use this one. But I was wrong! This nail polish is quite nice and it goes along with any type of clothes. I love it!

5. Depend Nail Polish

No, this one is not from Essence, finally! I’m not sure which colour is this, but I think it’s coral colour or something like that. This nail polish comes in a cute little bottle and also it dry quickly which is a big plus.

6. Red nail polish

This red nail polish is the last of my summer nail polish favourites. It’s a random one and I actually don’t know the name or the shade of it. But it looks amazing and I’m sure I’ll often use it in the summer.

Well you can all tell which nail polish is my cat’s favourite.

And if it's already summer and you don't have anything to do- why don't you paint every nail with different colour?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

The Summer Tag

Sunday, July 13, 2014 Sara Wallflower 29 Comments

Hello everybody!

I’ve told this so many times already, but again- I love summer! So The summer tag seems perfect for me. I was tagged by Molly Louise Blogs, whose blog is absolutely amazing.
There are 9 questions, that I have to answer.

1)    What's your favourite thing about Summer?
I don’t want to write what’s obvious, but in the summer I don’t have to go to school, which is probably my favourite thing. Of course I also like summer clothes, swimming in the sea and having fun all day long.

2)    Do you have a favourite Summer drink? (I mean non-alcoholic)
Since it's quite hot at the moment, I drink loads and loads of water. Sometimes I make myself lemonade with some mint and it’s so refreshing!

3)    Is there a location you like to go to each Summer?
I see myself as kind of adventurous person, so I like visiting new places and trying new things. But this year we’re going to Bovec like last year. Bovec is a place in Slovenia where you can go hiking, do summer sports, do sports on river and a lot of other fun stuff.

4)    Favourite make-up look for Summer?
I don’t often wear make-up, but when I do, that’s between school year. I’m too lazy to do my make-up when it’s summer.

5)    Dresses or skirts?
Definitely dresses, they’re amazing! You can wear them as casual clothing or with some accessories you can wear them when you go out. I love dresses.

6)    Sandals or ballet pumps?
I’m all for flip flops in the summer, so I hardly ever wear sandals or ballet pumps. I’d wear sandals if I go for a bit longer walk and I’d wear ballet pumps if the weather is rainy and not so warm.

7)    Hair up or down for Summer?
I always wear my hair up in the summer, because it’s more practical and hair down would make me feel more hot.

8)    Favourite perfume for Summer?
I don’t really like wearing perfumes in any season, but my favourite would be She...is Sweet. It smells really nice and fresh.

9)    Favourite music for Summer?
I listen mostly to songs that I like in general and summer songs, which make me want to dance even though I never dance :).

So this was my Summer Tag. And I’d love to see those lovely ladies to answer the questions from The Summer Tag:

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

June Favourites

Friday, July 11, 2014 Sara Wallflower 22 Comments

Hello everybody!

I know I'm a bit behind with my June favourites, but as indecisive I am, it took me ages to choose products/clothes/food I've loved in June. So here are some of the things I’ve been loving through June!

Wallet

I’m not sure why, but I really love my new wallet with palms on it. I’ve been looking for a suitable wallet for literally a year and I just couldn’t find one. But when I saw this one, I knew I have to buy it. I bought my wallet in Stradivarius and it was on sale. It actually contains two of my favourite things: palms and bright colours and it’s so cute for the summer!

Afrodita Cosmetics: Hand & Nail Cream

Hand & Nail cream from Afrodita Cosmetics (Slovenian brand) is one of the best creams I’ve ever tried! It’s from DM and it’s limited edition. I’m not sure from which ingredients it’s made of, but to me it smells divine. When I’m climbing, I use a lot of chalk, which makes my hands really dry, but this cream makes my hands soft again.

Avon: Conditioner for Fine Hair

I’m quite lazy when it comes to taking care of my body or hair, so it was hard for me to start using anything beside only regular shampoo. But when I got my hair ombred, I was kind of forced to take more care of it. My hair is already damaged because of the peroxide and I don’t want to make it even worse. So I find Avon’s Conditioner really helpful, as my hair seems a lot more smooth and healthy after using this conditioner.

Balea: Body lotion

Again, I’m lazy, when it comes to using body lotion. I know I’m supposed to use body lotion in autumn, winter and spring too, but at least I force myself to use it in the summer. So in June I started using Balea’s body lotion, which smells amazing and it really makes my skin soft. I use it once a week, even though I was supposed to use it every day.

Labello: Fruit Shine Cherry

I usually don’t like lip glosses, creams or shampoos which contain the scent of fruit, because for some reason, this cause me nausea. But I’m absolutely in love with Labello’s Fruit Shine Cherry! It smells like real cherry and it makes my lips a bit red and shiny. It’s just perfect for the summer.

Patrick Ness: Chaos Walking

As I’ve already said, I’m a bookworm. In the summer I can read all day long and this really makes me calm. This June I read the first book in the trilogy Chaos Walking, called The Knife of Never Letting Go. This trilogy is written by an American-born British author Patrick Ness. Now I’m reading the second book The Ask and the Answer. I love both books and I can’t wait to read the third one! They’re so exciting and I usually don’t read science fiction books, but these are really intense and I just can’t stop reading them!

So these are my June favourites, if you want me to do them every month, write me in the comments. What products did you love using in June?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

There Is Always Sunshine After The Rain

Thursday, July 10, 2014 Sara Wallflower 8 Comments

“Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards.”
~Vladimir Nabokov

Photo taken from weheartit.com

Hello everybody!

Does anyone else hate when it rains in the summer too? I mean, it’s OK if it rains in the spring or autumn or even in the winter (well I prefer snow, but I still don’t complain). But I really don’t like seeing rain in the summer. I’m on summer holiday- I should be outside doing something like lying on a sun lounger, annoying my parents or sister. It just doesn’t feel the same if I do that inside.

I just love love love summer! I can wear all those cute summer clothes (especially dresses), I can sit outside until late hours and it’s still nice and warm and of course I can throw water balloons at my sister and don’t worry if she might catch a cold. But I can say that until now, the weather has been awful! Maybe it’s just me and this doesn't annoy anyone else, but I still hope for more sunny and warm weather. And if there’s any truth in saying “There is always sunshine after the rain.” I’ll be soon able to enjoy in the sun :).

If you’re following my blog, you may or may not know that here and there I’ll post my thoughts and opinions about certain theme. Don’t worry- it won’t be always about the weather haha. I just think that one day my head will explode of all those thoughts if I won’t write them somewhere and I guess that’s something usual for a teenager. So I hope you don’t mind if I sometimes write my thoughts on my blog and share them with you.

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

DIY: Summer Candle Holders

Tuesday, July 08, 2014 Sara Wallflower 15 Comments

Hello, everybody!

Summer has started a couple of weeks ago and if you haven’t already decorated your room with some summer decorations, then now it's the time!

I’m going to show you how to quickly make simple summer candle holders. I did them with my mother and sister, so it’s also a great way of spending some quality time with family :).

First, you need:

 -a jam jar (or any glass jar/cup...);

-sand;

-strips/ bows/ other decorations;

-shells;

-small candles;

-a glue gun.

Now take a jar and fill it with sand. You can choose up to where you’ll fill it- I filled mine to about the middle of the jar.

Then take any strip or bow or tape of any colour and tie it up at the top of the jar. You can also glue strip on the jar or you can wrap the whole jar with it.

After that, take some shells and glue them on strips, jar, put them inside of the jar...

When you finish, put a small candle inside of the jar, light it up and your summer candle holder is done!

I really enjoyed doing my candle holders and I think so will you, as you can free your imagination and do your own candle holders however you want to. They bring a little bit of summer freshness in my room and that way my room is less boring. They’re also easy to do and you can put them outside or inside. I put my mother’s on the outside table, but my sister and I put them in our bedrooms.
Made by my sister
Made by my mother
Made by me

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!
