Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award

Hello everybody!

Not long ago a lovely blogger styleccentricfashion nominated me for Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award, for which I'm extremely thankful! I was really excited and I couldn't wait to write this post, so here are the questions I have to answer:

How did blogging change your life?
Since I've first started blogging I feel like I've gained a lot of confidence. I posted three or four outfit posts and for me this is a really big accomplishment, because before I wouldn't let anyone even take photos of me. And during those months of blogging and growing I've slowly stopped caring about what other people think of me, my work, my appearance and I've learned to only care about what people who actually know me and most importantly what I think of myself.

How do you describe yourself and your blog?
I'm the worst at describing, but I'd usually describe myself as a mess. I like so many different things, I always change my mind and my interests, so I think that is probably shown in my blog, which is also a mess. A mess of beauty, lifestyle, travel, fashion posts, so I'm not sure how to describe my blog other than 'a lovely mess'.

What is your best single post?
The best post to me is actually my first real post DIY: Summer Candle Holders. I don't know why, but I'm really proud of it and I had so much fun while making those candle holders with my sister and mother.

What are some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
I'm not sure if this is considered a strength, but before I started blogging I wasn't following any bloggers beside Zoe Sugg and because of that I was able to be creative, to write the posts however I wanted... I was also able to create my own style of writing, come up with so many different post ideas without the feeling I'm stealing someone else's idea, which now happens quite often.

What type of social media do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?
The main reason I've started blogging and I'm still doing it, is to express my feelings and not to gain more followers or enhance traffic. Most bloggers use Twitter, but I always forget to tweet (I know, I'm the worst blogger).

How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
My main priority during the school is definitely school work and I mostly try to write new posts, take photos, reply to comments on Saturday and Sunday. But I'm really bad at managing my time, so I mostly wait to the very last minute to do anything.

What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?
I think every achievement in my life is important and helps me grow in certain area.

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
The main thing that motivates me are all of the nice comments I get, in general I appreciate any nice feedback whether it be in a form of a comment on my blog, as a message on Twitter or as a question on Ask.fm... All of that motivates me.

Are you trying to make money through blogging?
The last thing that's on my mind while I'm blogging is money. As I said before, I blog to express my feelings and opinions, and also meet new people, find new products to try, improve my writing and not for the money.

What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
To me is the feeling like I have to keep my blog running. I sometimes feel like I have to write a post even if I don't have any inspiration and when I look back I can tell which posts were written while I felt like that.

My nominees are:

My questions are:

Where do you find inspiration for blogging?
What was the main reason you have started blogging and what is the main reason you're still blogging?
Do you sometimes think about quitting blogging and if so, why?
Is there any post you feel really proud of?
What do you think are some pros and cons of blogging?
Do you read all of the comments and what do you think of them?
Is there any particular blogger that has encouraged you to start blogging?
What are the three things you can't imagine living without as a blogger?
What is your advice for the bloggers who have just started blogging?
If you could choose again, would you choose blogging?

Summer Beauty Favourites

Hello everybody!

I've realised that I tell you all the time how I love writing monthly favourites and yet I haven't written one in almost three months. I'm not lying when I say that I feel like the summer has just flown by- I still didn't get used to the fact it's already September (well I have to thank school for reminding me of this). And since I've obviously been pretty lazy through all the summer, I've now decided to show you my favourite beauty products I've been loving through July, August and these few days of September. To make it a bit more interesting I've also pick way more products than I usually feature in monthly favourites.

So to start up with my all time favourite beauty products- nail polishes. I've got this Max Factor Nail Polish in May and I've been loving it ever since then. It comes in shade Pink Lolita (I love the name!) and it's a light pink colour, which I think it's perfect for the summer. I apply it in two coats, just to get a bit brighter colour. I bought Essence Gel Nail Polish in shade Serendipity around a week ago and I've been wearing it since the first day of school. Again, I simply love the name of it, which means 'finding something good without looking for it' and I think it really suits this nail polish. The colour of it is so beautiful, something between grey and purple, I still can't decide how to describe it.

Next are the lip products, which I probably have too many already, but I can't resist buying a lipstick when I fall in love with it. This Labello Lip Butter Coconut seems like it was made just for me, since I love everything coconutish (I don't think this is an actual word, but okay). It smells amazing, it makes my lips moisterized and it lasts quite long. This Max Factor Lip Gloss comes in shade Diva Pink, and it's just right bright and shiny. I bought Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Windsor Rose last week and I've been using it pretty much all the time. I think that shade is perfect for the autumn, which is right around the corner, but I'm probably going to use it in any other season as well, since I'm quite obsessed with it.

I've put all of these products together since they're all used for eyes or somewhere around the eyes (forgive me, because I really suck at describing anything beauty related). I've mentioned Catrice Photo Finish Concealer 010 Sand Beige in one of my previous posts I believe, but I just have to mention it again. I've started using it again since the school started and it really covers my every day darker circles under eyes. Manhattan Eyeliner Original Japanese Ink- Green Nori 87Z is really easy to apply and the green colour looks beautiful and definitely more interesting than the boring black ones. The only thing I don't quite like about it is how difficult it is to remove, so I don't use it that often.

I got Max Factor Max Effect Mono Eye Shadow in a lovely pink colour, called Soft Lilac. It's one of my favourites, since it's long lasting and I love the colour (if you haven't noticed yet, I love everything pink- from nail polishes to lipsticks). I bought Max Factor Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara a week or so ago and I have stopped using any other mascaras, because I immediately fell in love with this one. It gives my lashes a lot of volume and length, it doesn't smudge at all and it's really long lasting. I like to keep my eyebrows natural, because I think they look okay and I'm honestly too lazy to be one of those girls who always have their eyebrows perfect. But for the past week I've started filling my eyebrows with Maybelline New York Master Shape Brow Pencil and I quite like how little time it takes me in the morning to fill them.

I've been a big fan of Nivea Soft Moisture Cream ever since I was a child and for me Nivea is a brand you can't go wrong with any product you buy. I use this cream almost every morning for my face and I love how it softens my skin and beside that it smells amazing. When I remove my makeup when I come from school or at the end of the day I use Green Line Clear Active Micellar Cleansing Water, and since it's orange flower water I can tell you it smells divine. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and nourished so I don't use any cream after.

And last but not least- Killer Queen's Royal Revolution shower gel and body lotion. I got them in December I think, but I've started using them in July or August, probably because of my laziness. They smell amazing, with top notes of red pomegranate and pink freesia. The body lotion keeps my skin so soft, I actually stop using Nivea's body lotion, just so I can use this one (and you know I love Nivea). I find them perfect for the summer, but of course I'll continue using them in the autumn as well.

While writing this post I realised it's better for me when I actually write monthly favourites every month and not choose that many products after three months. But I still hope you enjoyed reading this post and also what products have you loved using in the summer and would recommend trying?

Summer Favourites: Movies and TV Shows

Hello everybody!

Since I don't have much time to just relax and watch TV during the school year, I've decided to watch as many TV series and movies from my 'Movies to watch list' as I can. And I've decided to share with you some of my favourites. Also, am I the only one who adds a movie to a list after seeing a quote/ gif/ photo on Tumblr?

TV series:

Orange Is the New Black

The series is based on Piper Kerman's memoir, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison. You've probably already wacthed it or you've heard a lot of reviews about it, so I'm not going to bore you with the story. If you read my last post, you probably know that one of my favourite characters is Stella (Ruby Rose), even though she's a supporting role. I kind of love all of the characters, almost all of their stories are really interesting, but beside Stella, my two favourites are also Miss Claudette and Flaca (She loves The Smiths, I love The Smiths- what else can I say?). I've binge watched OITNB (I'm not the only one, right?) and now I just can't wait for 2016. But if Stella, Bennett and Nicky won't appear in season 4- I'm not sure if I'm emotionally stable enough to handle this.

Faking It

Faking it is about Karma and her best friend Amy, which in attempt to become popular, pretend to be a couple. Just like OITNB, I've binge watched this series, which also shows I don't have a life. I like Amy, I don't like Karma that much, so you can guess I ship #reamy way more than #karmy. Also on August 31st will air the second half of season 2, so I'm really excited about that.

Movies:

Her

I'm not the biggest fan of sci-fi movies, but I'm really glad I've decided to watch this one (thanks to Tumblr). I loved the story, I loved all of the characters, J. Phoenix was simply amazing. I did watch this movie in two parts, because my attention span is quite short. My favourite parts of the movie were definitely the throwbacks.

Around the Block

I was stalking Ruby Rose (now I sound like a stalker), when I found out that she plays in a movie called Around the block and of course I instantly decided to watch it. I've never heard about it before, but then I saw that Christina Ricci plays in it and since she's a great actress, I thought that the movie has to be at least decent. Although Ruby appears for only about 3 minutes (what a shame), I loved it. The story about an Aboriginal boy was really touching, and I found it rather interesting and unique- at least I haven't watched a movie like this before.

Blue Is the Warmest Colour

A French drama revolves around Adèle and a blue- haired girl, Emma. I had to read the plot a few times before I really understood the whole story, but then I just couldn't stop watching the movie (okay, I watched it in two parts, but who can watch a movie for 3 hours?). I also cried while watching it- a lot. And I don't cry often. The chemistry between Exarchopoulos and Seydoux is just indescribable. I have to say that Blue is the warmest colour is probably now one of my favourite movies ever.

The Breakfast Club

The movie revolves around five teenagers, each a member of a different high school clique who end up in detention together. I wanted to watch this movie for so long, so I'm glad that I've finally decided to do so. My favourite character is probably Allison, the reclusive outcast, who is also a compulsive liar.

Trust

Trust is about a teenage girl who becomes a victim of sexual abuse when she meets a man on the Internet. When I started watching this movie all I could think of was how can a girl be so stupid, but shortly after I realised it’s not her fault and the story of how her and her family’s life changed after really touched me. I loved the movie even though the end made me slightly upset- I don’t want to spoil too much, so I guess you’ll just have to watch a movie.

Love, Rosie

I’ve wanted to watch Love, Rosie ever since I first saw a trailer on YouTube, but over time I’ve somehow forgotten about this movie. But again, thanks to Tumblr, I saw a photo from the movie and this was obviously a sign that I have to watch it. So, I love Lily and I love Sam and I admit I cried a little while watching their love story.

What are your favourite TV shows or movies? Have you watched any of my favourites already?

TMI Tag

Hello everybody!

While I was thinking what my next post should be about, I’ve realised that some of my latest posts are definitely not my favourite. Don’t get me wrong- I enjoyed writing them and I would never post something I wouldn’t feel comfortable posting, I just think that they don’t show much of my personality. I mean, you sure can learn what kind of books I love to read from my Favourites posts or you can see what kind of clothes I love from my Wishlists, but for this post, I’ve wanted to simply write some things about me, so you’ll be able to understand me a bit. I thought I’d write some facts about me, but since coming up with random facts can be quite difficult, I’ve decided I’d use the questions from TMI Tag (I changed some of the questions about YouTube to questions about blogging). That kind of makes me a lazy person (okay, this is one random fact about me), but I’m on summer holiday now, so you can’t really blame me.

How long does it take you to shower?
From 5- 30 minutes, depends on the time I have.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
During the school week it takes me around 20 minutes, because I sleep as long as I can and then do everything in the last minutes.

Have you ever been in a physical fight?
I don’t really remember.

Turn on’s?
Someone who is funny and can make me laugh even when I’m feeling really down.

Beauties of Bovec 2015

Hello everybody!

I spent last week in Bovec, a lovely town in Slovenia. I had an amazing time while hiking, discovering new places and just chilling by the river Isonzo. And instead of posting way too many photos (as I did last year), I’ve decided to make a short vlog. This is my first ever published vlog (I’ve made some before, but just for myself), so I hope you’ll enjoy watching it.
