August Favourites

Hello everybody!

August has almost ended and so has our summer holiday! As lazy as I am in the summer, I didn’t get to use a lot of new products, but there have been some products/ clothes/ books I’ve loved in August. So before I dig into the school work, I’m going to share with you my favourite things I’ve been loving through August!

Bourjois Paris Colour Boost Lip Crayon

I’ve really enjoyed using this Bourjois colour boost lip crayon a lot! I actually did a review of it here, because it’s one of my favourite lip products EVER. I really like the shade of it, it’s the shade Peach on the Beach, but it looks more pinkish. I think I’m going to buy one in a different shade soon, because it’s one of the products that must be repurchased.

Essence nail polish Colour & Go: Pink & Proud

This Essence nail polish comes in shade Pink & Proud. I’m not really sure if this colour is suitable for summer as I prefer more vibrant colours, but I like this one anyway. I like the purple shade of it and it shimmer effect, so I think I’m going to use this one a lot in autumn.

Purse

I’ve been using this purse a lot through the whole summer. It’s small, but perfect for my wallet, phone, keys and lipstick. I have the purse since I was little, so I guess it’s a kid purse, but who cares. I really like it, as it looks quite simple and perfect for the summer days.

Top from Bershka

I bought this pink top in Bershka and it was around 15 €. I wore it a few times in August, since I really like the colour and the cut of it. It’s a slightly broader top and it falls really nice. The weather was not the best this summer, so I couldn’t wear it as often as I wanted.

Earrings

I’m a bit obsessed with earrings (I have 6 holes on my ears). In August my cousin bought me these earrings in the form of stars. All earrings are colourful, which is my favourite part about them. They’re also one of the smallest earrings I have, so I really like them.

Mary, Mary: James Patterson

Mary, Mary is the eleventh novel by an American author James Patterson from the series Alex Cross. Alex Cross is a widowed father and detective; his wife died leaving him with his children, Damon and Janelle as well as his grandmother "Nana Mama". I haven’t read all books from this series, but those I did are pretty scary on some parts. I like the fact that chapters are quite short, so you can rethink the whole story and then read on.

What products did you love using in August and would recommend buying them?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

Review: Colour Elixir Gloss and Colour Boost Lip Crayon

Saturday, August 23, 2014 Sara Wallflower 35 Comments

Hello everybody!

Finally a beauty post again! My last beauty post was Summer’s Beauty Haul and I made that one quite awhile ago, so I’m excited to make a new one. I’m going to do my first ever review and for that I chose my two newest lip products: Max Factor's lip gloss and Bourjois Paris’s Colour Boost Lip Crayon.

Max Factor: Colour Elixir Gloss

I’ve been looking for a perfect coral shade for ages and I absolutely fell in love with Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Gloss. It costed around 10 € and it was on sale, so the price wasn't too high. This one comes in a shade Enchanting Coral and it’s a lovely mixture of coral and pink colours. It’s a high-shine lip gloss and I feel like it’s just perfect for summer. It makes my lips quite smooth and moisturised but without the stickiness. And it also tastes good (if anyone else is as childish as me)! I’d definitely recommend this lip gloss to everyone who likes vibrant colours but doesn’t want to stand out too much. I’d say that this Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Gloss is probably my favourite lip gloss up until now and I’m thinking about buying some more soon!

Bourjois Paris: Colour Boost Lip Crayon

I bought this Bourjois Paris's Colour Boost Lip Crayon shortly after I bought Max Factor’s lip gloss and I realised that the shades are quite similar. Even though this one’s comes in shade Peach on the Beach, it looks very much like the lip gloss. But I love this colour boost lip crayon so much! I got this one for about 10 € too, but it was on sale so it was quite cheap. Because of its waterproof colour and SPF 15 it’s really practical for summer. It’s a bit more moisturising and the colour is more vibrant than Max Factor’s lip gloss. I’m really happy that I bought this Bourjois Paris’s Colour Boost Lip Crayon as the shade of it looks cute and I’m sure I’ll use this one through the whole year. I just love it!

In overall, I’m really happy with Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Gloss and Bourjois Paris’s Colour Boost Lip Crayon. The both shades seem perfect for me, the quality is great and the price isn’t too high.

What do you think of my first review? Have you tried any of these lip products yet?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

Beauties of Bovec: Part 3

Wednesday, August 20, 2014 Sara Wallflower 13 Comments

Hello everybody!

Here comes the third and the final post of my series about beauties of Bovec. I really like the fact that even though Bovec is quite a small town, you can do loads of fun activities there. One of the interesting facts about Bovec is that the bridge battle for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was shot in the Soča Valley.

As I really like travelling and finding new places, I was really excited for my series Beauties of Bovec. I hope you enjoyed reading it too.

Beauties of Bovec: Part 1

Wednesday, August 13, 2014 Sara Wallflower 30 Comments

Hello everybody!

I know it’s been awhile since my last post, but I have been on a vacation and I just wanted to relax a bit. I spent 7 days with my family in Bovec, a little and marvellous town in northwestern Slovenia. I had an amazing time, we visited loads of waterfalls, sights and of course rested by the river Soča (Isonzo) which has around 14 °C (57, 2 °F). It’s cold, but so beautiful! I want to share some photos with you and since I took so many of them, I decided to show them in three different posts. Don't forget to click read more for more photos!
